Stati Generali delle Donne - Women Summit 2015
The World Conference on Women -"Beijing twenty years later", which will be held in Milan in September (26-28) during EXPO 2015, is the brainchild of Stati Generali delle Donne, a women-led collaborative Italian initiative which sets an agenda to promote new ideas for social change.
The event, which encompasses the spirit of many women operating in multicultural environments, will focus on policies that still need to be improved or developed to facilitate gender equality and female employment. Among the topics covered are female entrepreneurship and startups, female leadership, education, social innovation, new technologies, women & politics.
A series of local pre-conference meetings will be organised across all Italian regions, where participants will be invited to present their ideas and proposals.
Maria Serra, founder of Onclaude and leader of the Lean In Milan Circle (local chapter of the leanin.org no-profit organisation) will give a contribution to Stati Generali delle Donne - Lombardy (Northern Italy major region), presenting a project idea which leverages on service design to solve a key unmet problem in young women's education.
The Lombardy meeting will take place in Milan at the Museum of Natural History on May 11. Attendance is free and open to anyone who would like to share their ideas, come and join us!
We believe the event will be a great opportunity to share our idea with a like-minded audience and gather valuable insights and feedback. Thanks to a collaboration with Work Wide Women, a leader in Social Learning for women, we are planning to bring it further in the following months and involve potential partners and sponsors. Feel free to get in touch with Maria (email@example.com) if you might be interested in knowing more.
