I'm furniture designer who is working based on Seoul, Korea.
My design has started with below thinking ;
Furniture is a part of daily life. People desire stability in everyday living, and fear change. Very often, furniture serves the purpose of providing ease and comfort but only that. But does it have to be that way? Can furniture provide a strong and richly meaningful aesthetic statement through its unusual and unexpected shapes, while being functional?
Breaking out of the simply functional, and bringing enjoyment through shapes and forms is what I want to do.
