Rado Star Prize France 2014
As part of Paris Design Week 2014, Swiss watch brand Rado launches a call for projects in collaboration with now! le Off, an exhibition space located in The Docks - Cité de la Mode et du Design, which is devoted to showcasing emerging design talent.
This year theRado Star Prize France will be awarded to the project which best represents the theme of the upcoming Design Week, which is "sharing" in all its forms (techniques, materials, technology, colors, emotions). The call is open to all design students, young designers or design collectives participating in the now! le Off show. Applicantsare invited to submit their proposals by Friday, 20 June 2014. Works, studies, projects, prototypes and models as well as the first piece ofa series are admitted. The winner will be awarded a 5,000 € price.
Applying to the call is free but please note that being an exhibitor at now! le Off is actually a pre-requisite to compete for the prize.

Known for its innovative designs and use of scratch-resistant high-tech materials, Rado is in constantsearchof new and innovative ideas and is actively supporting young designers worldwide. You might remember the "Woven Gears" installation by Swiss designer Antoinette Bader which won the Rado Star Austria Prize last year, as part of Vienna Design Week 2013.
